2022 Corvette Stingray

The new 2022 Corvette design is just amazing! It includes high flying buttresses, curves, and ultra-futuristic style everywhere. The Corvette is a two-door, two-passenger luxury sports car, America’s most affordable luxury racing car that you can drive every day.

The Stingray Corvette Coupe has a very original transparent engine cover that lets you see-through the engine of the Stingray.

The iconic Corvette Stingray is a beautifully sculpted mid-engine sports car that makes a powerful statement everywhere it drives. The Stingray is not your everyday car, but it is a racing car you can drive every day around town. The Stingray’s design was inspired by fighter jets, producing and stylish exterior design.

This American racing car is available for anyone who wants to drive it at home, it is made in the US, at the Bowling Green Plant in Kentucky.

The aerodynamic components integrated throughout the Stingray’s sophisticated and gorgeous shape are also very functional. The 2022 Stingray is the most no-compromise Corvette in history.

The new Corvette is precise and powerful with advanced propulsion system, revised chassis tuning, and a mid-engine masterpiece, making the 2022 Stingray the best most affordable American sports racing car you can buy.

Two Stingrays: Coupe and Convertible

The new Corvette is available in two main styles, the Corvette coupe, and the Corvette convertible. Chevrolet’s goal to make a convertible out of the Corvette coupe was not an easy task, it actually was almost an impossible challenge, but it is done! Chevrolet was able to create this sporty Stingray Corvette convertible.

The Corvette Stingray Coupe and Convertible have been completely redesigned since 2020, to deliver luxury and a thrill on every ride.

A true performance hardtop is included in the new Stingray convertible. The two-piece hardtop can be activated at speeds up to 30 mph with the power of six electric motors for improved reliability in extreme temperatures. The Stingray convertible weighs just 77 pounds more than the coupe and the top is available in body-color or Carbon Flash.

Trims and Pricing for the 2022 Corvette Stingray Coupe

Considering that the Corvette is American’s sports ultra-luxury racing car, the pricing from 60K to 80K is actually very low compared to other cars in the market. Especially when you compare the Stingray Corvette with its European competitors, then the starting price of $60K is absolutely a bargain.

Chevrolet created a luxury car, but didn’t forget how important is to offer value to the American car buyer, and the Stingray is full of value everywhere.  The 1LT Coupe is the base price in the Stingray lineup with very low price near 60K, but even the most expensive top of the line 3LT Convertible it also has very low pricing at only $80K.

Competition

The Stingray Corvette is a vehicle with a mid-engine, which has an 8-cylinder engine, 495 horsepower, and it is available as a coupe or convertible. If you’re looking for another vehicle that resembles this configuration, the closest in price is the McLaren 570s, which is $211,000, while the Corvette Stingray is priced around $60,000.  The price comparison is huge, we can definitely say that the Corvette is America’s most affordable luxury racing car.

The Corvette has always meant a totally affordable vehicle, but with the best refinements in terms of performance.

A Corvette that isn’t high-performing and at the same time isn’t affordable isn’t a Corvette.

Engine

For 2022, the Corvette Stingray LT2 6.2L V-8 engine has been upgraded with a direct injection fuel system, improved engine calibration, and an extended range of active fuel management. It’s still rated at 490 horsepower or 495 horsepower with an available exhaust system. Driven through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Z51-equipped model can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.

Pushing a quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds, the engine placement offers rear weight bias where it matters most. To improve downforce, the windshield is positioned over the front wheels for more power and domination out in these streets.

The Corvette Stingray is offered in a coupe and convertible models in 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT trims, with the Z51 performance package available on all trims. Magnetic Ride Control is available with or without the Z51 performance package. Coupes include a removable roof panel that is stored in the rear trunk, while convertibles include a power hardtop.

A new low-profile rear spoiler and Z51 design front splitter will be offered on non-Z51 models.

This car has some amazing technologies that you can only find in other super-models, for example, the new generation magnetic-ride shock absorbers, which is amazing technology that is reading the road conditions every 10 to 15 milliseconds. The shock is filled with a metal-bearing fluid which can be made stiff or soft depending on conditions, in a matter of milliseconds. It has many technologies like these which allow the Corvette to have a totally excellent performance.
